Tunisia: President Ben Ali Focuses on Employment Sector

Tunis — During his meeting with the Minister of employment and professional insertion of youth, Mr Slim Tlatli, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali focused on the programs of activity of the ministry in light of the evolution of the employment sector and its future perspectives.

The evaluation of employment programs and the mechanisms of the National Employment Fund 21-21, retained the attention of the Head of State who recommended to take advantage of these results to further strengthen these programs.

He also recommended to boost partnership with companies in the private sector, so as to intensify employment opportunities of university graduates and further boost programs geared towards the creation of new projects.

The Head of State stressed the need to improve the identification of the changes occurring in the employment sector, the consolidation of the capacity of employment services and the follow up of the sector within regions. He also highlighted the reinforcement of the role of the National Employment Observatory in coordination with all the parties involved and the contribution of cadres and experimented personnel in the sector.
