Angola: Simmons Massini Recommends Changes in Music Market

Luanda — The transformation of the Angolan music market into a music industry was mentioned as the path for progress and stability of Angolan artists.

Speaking to Angop Thursday in Luanda, Angolan music producer, Simmons Massini, said that the creation of companies and organisations that record, produce, publish, distribute and trade music on a large scale with the help of Angolan government is the appropriate way towards reaching the goal.

According to the musician, sustainability of music production should never rely on sponsorship, adding that, this would mean that the Angolan music is still faced with difficulties.

Simmons Massini started his music career during the 80's in infant festivals, then organised by the Radio Nacional de Angola (RNA) state-owned broadcasting station.
