Luanda — The minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security, Anto'nio Pitra Neto, said Thursday in Luanda that eleven thousand youths will be absorbed into the employment market by 2009.
Pitra Neto said so during the opening of the first Broad Consultative Council of the Ministry of Public Administration, employment and Social Security (Mapess), held in the premises of the Technological Training Integrated Centre (Cinfotec).
According to the minister, the government has approved for the year 2009, in the area of employment and professional training, six programmes that consist of implementing programmes to integrate young people in society, which will provide jobs for eleven thousand youths.
"It is important that the work of articulation, co-ordination and exchange of information among our department, through the employment and professional training observatory, and the offices for studies and statistics of each sector and the various provincial governments, become a constant reality" stressed the minister.
One of the programmes has the objective of training about seven thousand youths in the field of innovation, information and communication technologies.
"Each youth, each citizen, each cadre that gets trained has to be a potential enterprising person (...)" exhorted the minister.
The government has also approved the reinforcement of the partnership among the state, trade unions and professional associations, with the conviction that the economic and social collaboration has been producing good results.
The gathering also served to present three brochures that narrate the history of public administration in Angola, from 1993 to 2008.
