Nigeria: Stock Market Continues Slide, Loses N300 Billion

Lagos — In spite of assurance from Stockbrokers and the Nigerian Stock Exchanged (NSE) that the market would rebound, the market continues its loss yesterday with N300.843 billion.

The market had opened with anticipation that stock price may gain some level of appreciation. But at the end of trading session on Thursday, the market has lost N300.843 to close at N8.226 trillion, about 4 per cent lower than the previous day of N8.527 trillion.
