Angola: Painter Etona Attends Meeting On Monuments

Luanda — The Angolan plastic artist, Tomas Ana "Etona" will participate in a workshop on monuments, next year in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, organised by the International Centre of sculpture of Portugal.

The meeting, organised in association with the Brazilian sculptors, according to Etona who talked to Angop, will count on the presence of artists from the Portuguese-speaking countries.

Etona indicated that the meeting aims to debate the dynamic of monuments production in the Portuguese-speaking community, as well as to create great dimension workings that will be permanently exposed in Brazilian public places.

The Angolan visual artist, who will represent the country at the event, said that he will carry out not only the picture of the national art practice, as well as the new Angolan phase of peace, which goes toward progress.

Born in the Zaire province, Etona has begun to develop his art activity in the "70s, and has completed subsequently the high school course in visual arts at the National Institute of art and cultural teaching.
