As part of activities marking its fifth anniversary, the Anyaa Branch of the Christian Redemption International Church, has organized a clean up exercise at the premises of the Anyaa Police station.

The head pastor of the branch, Reverend Joseph Ohene Asiedu said a clean environment is very essential to the church and sees the clean up at the police station as a way of contributing to good sanitation.

He appealed to Ghanaians especially, the youth to eschew violence to make the December elections peaceful to the benefit of all.

He further appealed to the government to put up policies that would take care of street children and called on political parties to extend helping hands to the street children.

Inspector John Antoi of the Anyaa Police Station expressed the station's gratitude to the church for "thinking about the police."

He said the clean up exercise was a timely one since there are no longer police laborers in the system.

He appealed to other benevolent organizations to provide the station with a refuse container to take care of the sanitation problem in the area.
