Kuito — The governor of central Bie province, Cândida Celeste da Silva, Friday here warned construction companies to go faster with the conclusions of the works aimed to speed up the province reconstruction and to respect the contract timetable with the government.

The provincial governor was speaking at the end of a meeting with the municipal administrators and National Police and Armed Forces (FAA) commanders in the region, which served to check out the main problems facing the local population.

Cândida da Silva said that she is very much concerned with the delays verified in most part of the construction works such as at the Kuito "Joaquim Kapango" Airport, national road that links Chinguar and Huambo, sport pavilion, and others infrastructures, which in her opinion hampers the socio-economic development of the region.
