Angola: Public Transport Firm Macon Opens Route to Uíge Province

Malanje — Public transport company Macon starts operating in November in the Malanje-Uíge route, as part of the expansion of its service in other regions of the country.

This was revealed last Thursday in this city, by Macon transport director, Adão Pereira do Espírito Santo, who also said that two buses to carry goods and passengers with the capacity of 45 seats will be used in the first phase.

Adão Pereira Santo explained that tickets will vary from 2,500 to 3,000 kwanzas (USD= 75 kwanzas) per person.

The official added that there is a possibility to open bus routes for other districts like Calandula, Caculama, Cangandala and Xá-Muteba (Lunda Norte) and Saurimo (Lunda Sul).
