Luanda — Nearly 30,000 students shall be enrolled in the education system in 2009, in the Angolan capital (Luanda), with the opening of new medium institutes in the districts of Samba, Viana and Cacuaco.
The information was granted to the press this Friday by the expert of the provincial education department, Lourenço Neto, during a meeting with directors of Technical Medium and Polytechnic Institutes and of secondary schools of the first and second cycles.
Lourenço Neto informed that these institutes shall be opened in Viana, Samba and Cacuaco because these districts have localities with a poor schooling coverage.
According to the source, with the new dynamic that the provincial education department is implementing, students in the outskirts of the city of Luanda shall be better served.
The provincial education department met with managers of technical medium and polytechnic institutes and secondary schools of the first and second cycles to prepare the conditions for the 2009 academic year.
During the meeting, the directors were instructed on the methods of confirming their enrolments, the way of inserting students who will enter for the first time in the schooling system and for those already studying.
