The prime organizer for the nation's most prestigious crown, Miss Boss Lady International has released the official timetable and criteria for the 08/09 Miss Liberia Beauty Pageant.

Miss Boss Lady Chief Executive, Barkue Tubman, released the timeline for the Miss Liberia Beauty Pageant yesterday at the first official press conference held at a local hotel in Monrovia.

According to Barkue, the forms are now available at the Ministry of Information Cultural and Tourism, the Miss Boss Lady office on Randall Street, or applicants can call 05-525-525.

She said the launching and fundraising ceremony will take place at the Déjà Vu Nightclub at Sinkor Airfield on November 3, 2008.

Miss Boss Lady, CEO, said from November 7-9 the county selection process will begin but noted that the process will take place in Monrovia. "We will divide the country into four sectors and each former queen will be there to sash new queens," she added.

Madam Tubman indicated that the names of all county queens will be published in the media.

Miss Tubman noted that the requirements for this year's pageant remain the same.

"We want a queen that will meet international standards, therefore our requirement will have to meet international standards also," she said.

She further disclosed that this year's pageant will be held at the Samuel K. Doe Sports complex.

The organizer said the reason for the change in venue is due to the fact that the traditional venue for the Miss Liberia pageant had not been conducive.

'The Unity Conference Center can not be used this year because the facilities are not up to standard," she told reporters. She said this year's pageant will be one of the greatest of all pageants in Liberia. MBL said her key partner for this year's event is the Royal Communication Corporation.
