Luanda — A 16-member delegation of the state attorney general's department left the country this Sunday for South Africa to attend the fourth conference of the Association of African Attorneys.
Speaking to ANGOP at "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, the assistant state attorney general, Agostinho Domingos, stated that the meeting will examine current issues with emphasis to the crimes and the ways of discovering methods of curbing criminal offences.
The source stressed, as an example, that the drug issue in Africa in linked to the weakness of institutions of control, mainly at harbours, airports and borders, and because of this, the situation needs to be solved.
He also informed that trafficking of human organs, gender and child abuse are other aspects that will be analysed by the participants.
The delegation shall be led by the state attorney general, João Maria de Sousa, which will only leave for South Africa on Monday, and also includes the assistant state attorney general, Henriques dos Santos and the state attorney general for the military sphere, António Adão.
The third Conference of the African Attorneys was held in Luanda in July 2007.
