Nairobi — Kenya qualified for next year's Rugby World Cup Sevens after they beat hosts Tunisia 22-12 in Tunis on Saturday.
The win saw Kenya qualify for the Africa qualifying final, where they will either face Namibia or Zimbabwe.
Three teams from Tunisia will make it to the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.
Collins Injera scored two tries while Alan Onyango and Humphrey Kayange added one each. Lavin Asego slotted one conversion.
Kenya was one match away from qualifying for the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens after finishing top of Pool 'A'.
They beat Senegal 24-19 in the last Pool 'A' match to book a date with hosts Tunisia in the semi-final of the Main Cup.
Horace Owiti scored a hat-trick while Ben Nyambu added one. Biko Adema converted two tries. Zimbabwe finished top of Pool 'B' after edging out Madagascar 19-12 in their last match.
Namibia finished second in Pool 'A'. They beat Tunisia II 12-7 and Uganda 27-19. Hosts Tunisia drubbed Zambia 38-0 to finish second in Pool 'B'.
