Nigeria: Council to Provide Safety Precaution in Riverine Areas

Lagos — Sequel to the tragedy that struck Sagbokoji and Igboalejo, two riverine communities in the Amuwo- Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State last Friday, the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Chairman-elect, Comrade Ayodelen Adewale has assured the people of his administration's determination to reduce the mortality rate caused by ship wreck, which has become a death trap on a daily basis in the area, by providing adequate safety precaution speed boats with life jackets to convey the people, mostly the market men and women.
