Rwanda: Nyabihu District Advisory Council Dissolved

Kigali — The Cabinet on Friday October directed that the entire Nyabihu District Advisory Council be dissolved. The Cabinet immediately appointed Jean Damascene Ndagijimana as an interim caretaker and Frank Kobukyeye as his deputy until a new committee is elected.

In a meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame at Village Urugwiro, the Cabinet also appointed Celestin Kabahizi as the Governor of Western Province to replace Penelope Kantarama who was recently appointed Secretary General in the Ministry of Internal Security.

Dr. Anastase Shaka was also appointed as Executive Secretary for good governance Advisory council. The Cabinet made other changes; Prof. Manasseh Nshuti was appointed Chairman Board of Directors at School of Finance and Banking.

Claire Akamanzi, the deputy Director General of RIEPA, is now the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) deputy/CEO in charge of operations and services while Deogratias Harerimana was appointed RDB deputy/CEO Human Capital Development.
