Luanda — Members of the African Portuguese-speaking Countries (PALOP) will analyse on November 3-4, in Maputo, Mozambique issues related to environmental conservation.
An Angolan delegation, headed by the deputy minister of Environment, Mota Liz, left the country on Sunday, for Maputo, to attend the event.
Speaking to Angop, at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Mota Liz referred that the participation of Angola in the forum is of extreme importance, as the country is undergoing a phase for the development of the environmental conservation, such as national parks, who were left abandoned during the war-time.
At the event, Angola will gather experience from other African countries, such as Mozambique who has already given some steps in this field.
"Mozambique gave significant steps in the process of preservation of its environment areas", he said.
Besides this meeting, he informed, the Angolan delegation will participate in a seminar on ecotourism, under the aegis of Mozambique and other international organisations.
According to the government official, ecotourism, which is tourism related to natural resources, environment and biodiversity, is one of the modern tools so that a country shows its culture, natural values and rich.
"Ecotourism is also a way of generating wealth, involving the communities and valuing the resources themselves and geographic areas", he said.
To Mota Liz, Africa has every condition to offer to the world a desired tourism, and making it to be a source of resources.
