Angola: Governor Calls for Better Attitude Toward Cemeteries

Lubango — The governor of southern Huila province, Isaac dos Anjos, said Sunday in Lubango, it is high time people changed their attitude in treating the cemeteries.

Isaac dos Anjos was speaking to journalists after he had laid a wreath by the tomb of the unknown soldier at "Alto da Mitcha" cemetery, as part of the events of the All Souls Day, November 2.

Isaac dos Anjos called for a change in attitude with which cemeteries are treated.

He said as well this is a moment for all mortals to reflect on the state of conservation of the cemeteries.

Lubango district administration has under its control 13 cemeteries, of which only five are in condition for funeral services. A new one is under construction to serve the population for the coming 50 years, it was said.
