Angola: Territory Administration Minister Witnesses US Presidential Elections

Luanda — The Angolan Territory Administration minister, Virgílio de Fontes Pereira, travelled this Sunday to the United States of America, to watch the presidential elections, scheduled for November 4.

In an interview to Angop at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, shortly before his departure, Virgílio de Fontes Pereira said that his trip to the US will also serve to gain experience.

"I believe that the United States of America has a vast experience and might transmit some to us".

To the Angolan Cabinet minister, communication between this country and Africa will be good, since Obama is also waiting for Africa to support them in US projects.

Contrary to this, he referred that the dynamics will be kept in institutional terms, in what are ties between US and Africa, in particular with Angola.

The US presidential elections begin on November 4 and will allow the people to choose the successor of George W. Bush.

The two competitors are Barack Obama, supported by Democratic Party and John McCain, by Republican Party.
