Tunis — Tunis, November, 3, 2008- President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali received on Monday, former Spanish Prime Minister and honorary president of Spain's Popular Party, Mr Jose Maria Aznar who is currently taking part in the Democratic Constitutional Rally's 20 th International Symposium in Tunis.
Following the meeting, Mr Aznar stressed the longstanding friendship relations between both countries, as well as the common action they have undertaken within the framework of these relations.
He also said that the meeting reviewed the latest developments on the international, regional and Mediterranean scene.
Mr Aznar added that the meeting with the Head of State provided him with the "opportunity to exchange views with President Ben Ali on most of the issues which exist, within the framework of the friendly relations which unite us".
He wished full success and further achievements to the President of the Republic, in leading Tunisia on the road to development, security and stability.
