President Kufuor last weekend attended this year's Ngmayen Festival as the Special Guest of Honour.
The Paramount Chief (Kornor) of Manya Krobo Traditional Area, Nene Sackitey received homage from the President and other citizens at a durbar at Krobo Odumasi. President Kufuor appealed to the chiefs and the people of the area and all Ghanaians to work towards peaceful elections.
He expressed his commitment to accept whoever comes out as winner in the election and prayed for good person who will come to continue the good foundations he has laid for the development of Ghana. He donated assorted drinks to the Kornor and GhC5,000 to the Kornor's endowment fund for education.
