Fans of Rapheal Dugbartey and Awal Amadu left the Ridge premises of the MTN Soccer Academy very shocked, following the exit of the two potential winners of the reality show.
Their exit sent their teeming fans, who had come in buses to cheer for their players amidst arguing, murmuring and complaining, after last Sunday's final eviction show.
Their exit thus set the stage for the final showdown this Sunday at the Academy House at Ridge, where the remaining five teammates will battle for for the ultimate.
It was Michael Gatoh, one of the housemates tipped to emerge as winner who won the captaincy from Stephen Sowu, making him the last capo for this year's edition.
The diminutive Emmanuel Mensah won the most valuable player award in a game they drew 2-2 with the University of Ghana soccer team.
Dugbartey and Amadu were one of the potential winners for the second edition of the soccer reality show, but had to bow as a result of limited SMS votes they received.
The two, in a post eviction press conference yesterday, took consolation in the fact that the opportunity granted them will enhance their chances of becoming great stars in future.
As usual, Coach Ibrahim Sunday charged them to cremate what has happened and concentrate on what is ahead of them to realize their potential.
They received special cash prizes, MTN souvenirs, Indomie products and other prizes.
