Kampala — Police is warning teachers and schools administrators against using corporal punishment.
This follows a recent incident in which a teacher at Mbogo high school in Kawempe division damaged the spinal code of a 16 year old girl student while administering corporal punishment.
The police's Public Relations officer for the Kampala extra region, Simeo Nsubuga says corporal punishment was abolished in Ugandan schools and any teacher reported beating up students will be charged as an individual.
