Ghana: Jibril Completes Move to Portsmouth

4 November 2008

Ghanaian youngster Tawrick Jibril has completed his move to English side Portsmouth.

The 17-year-old, who had been on trials since last month, signed a three-year contract with the FA Cup holders.

Jibril signed the contract at the club after his local club, Heart of Oak, agreed on a transfer fee for the youngster.

"I'm sure that very soon I will be one of the best players in England.

"God willing, I will live up to my potential because with all these facilities here in England I will not disappoint.

"Where I have come from we don't have all of this. So the sky is the limit."

Jibril has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.
