Angola: Prime Minister and U.S. Ambassador Discuss Investment

Luanda — Angolan prime minister, Paulo Kassoma, this Tuesday here discussed with the US ambassador to the country, Dan Mozena, about cooperation in the non-oil sector between both States.

Speaking to the press, after being received by the prime minister, the North-American diplomat affirmed that they analysed matters relating to military cooperation to guarantee more security in the region.

He expressed his satisfaction with the situation in the country, having reminded that, during the presentation of his credential letters, he praised the "peaceful, prosperous, safe, health and democratic vision of the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos".

During the audience, the diplomat informed that the parties also discussed about the cooperation in the English language teaching, in the combat to malaria, HIV/AIDS, infant-maternal mortality, as well as in the process of landmines clearance and of support to the democratic system.

Dan Mozena affirmed that they discussed about matters concerning the Presidential elections in the USA, and about the legislative elections held last September in Angola, which are important steps to reinforce democracy in the two countries.
