Luanda — A delegation of the Vatican led by the secretary of Pope Benedict XVI, Alberto Pasbari, arrived in the Angolan capital (Luanda) this Tuesday to analyse with local authorities matters relating to the visit that will be paid by His Holiness next March.
Pope Benedict XVI will visit Angola from March 20-23 at the invitation of the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
The delegation was welcomed at "4 de Fevereiro" international airport by the nuncio to Angola, Dom Ângelo Beccio, by the Angolan ambassador to the Vatican, Espírito Santo and other officials of the Angolan Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The Vatican delegation is expected back home on November 07.
In the light of His Holiness' visit to Angola, the technical sub-commission of the ministerial preparatory commission will meet this Tuesday in Luanda.
The commission comprises the Ministries of Finance, Transport, Hotels and Tourism, Social Communication (media), Culture, Youth and Sports, Provincial Government of Luanda, Diplomatic Advisory of the Presidency of the Republic, among others.
