Kampala — THE five hereditary chiefs of Busoga kingdom, who boycotted the recent Kyabazinga polls, will meet tomorrow in Kamuli.
Caesar Kitamirike Lukalu, the Issabalangira (chief prince) of Bugabula, told The New Vision on Tuesday that the meeting would be held at Nadiope's palace at Budhumbula, near Kamuli town.
"It is a formal gathering of the chiefs as well as their subjects from Bugabula, Bugweri, Kigulu, Bunya and Bukono. But it will also include all the Saza chiefs concerned about the future of our kingdom," Lukalu said.
He said representatives from Bunyoro, Toro, Buganda and Buruuli were expected to attend.
Lukalu said the chiefs would seek views on the way forward.
"If the people decide we breakaway and form our own cultural institution, so be it. But for now, we haven't concluded on anything," he said.
Bugabula prince Gabula Nadiope walked out of the elections last week, protesting the eviction of Munulo Luba (Bunya).
Princes Patrick Izimba (Kigulu), Christopher Mutyaba (Bukono) and Fred Kakaire (Bugweri) stayed away.
The elections that saw the late Kyabazinga Henry Wako Muloki's son Edward Wambuzi Muloki become king, took place despite the Constitutional Court ruling stopping the exercise.
