Luanda — The expert in international relations Ma¡rio Pinto de Andrade this Wednesday here affirmed that Angola is being an example for African nations regarding political-military and socio-economic stability.
Speaking to ANGOP in the light of November 11, Ma¡rio Pinto de Andrade said that apart from the war that the Angolan government had to bear since achieving independence, in 1975, the country is being considered as a powerhouse in Africa, due to the sovereign will in exercising political power.
"The national liberation struggle led by the MPLA party, under the leadership of the first President of Angola, Anto'nio Agostinho Neto, encouraged the people to defend the national integrity and turned the country into a privileged powerhouse in the whole of Africa (...)", he stated.
Ma¡rio Pinto de Andrade stressed that in 11 November 1975, MPLA had the noble mission to guaranteeing the emerging of a new Southern African state, which now honours every Angolan who fought and shed their blood in favour of freedom and right of equality.
The source referred that Angola always occupied a special place in the African continent and not only, for its contribution to peace and military-political stability of the population of other nations, mainly Africans.
Angola's independence was proclaimed by Anto'nio Agostinho Neto, therefore becoming the first President of the country.
