Luanda — Angolan prime minister, Paulo Kassoma, Tuesday in Luanda, discussed with the ambassadors of Namibia, Cuba, Germany and United States of America, issues concerning bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Zimbabwe.
With the Namibian ambassador accredited to Angola, Lineekela Mboti, the premier discussed the living of the populations on both sides of the border between the two countries and the construction of a road that linking the regions of Tchiume (Namibia), Catuiti and Menongue (Angola).
Afterwards, Paulo Kassoma received in audience the head of the Cuban diplomatic mission, who announced the coming to Angola of 400 teachers for university, technical and medium levels, and expressed his country's readiness to continue cooperating towards the development of the country.
At the audience with the UK ambassador, Pat Phillips, the premier reviewed the situation of political instability prevailing in DRC and Zimbabwe.
Speaking to journalists at the end of the audience, the British ambassador said the situation in both countries is worrying, and expressed the hope that all countries contribute to a peaceful solution to the crises in the DRC and Zimbabwe.
The cooperation in the sectors of Education and training of personnel was another matter discussed at the audience Paulo Kassoma granted to the German ambassador to Angola, Bernd Morast.
The German diplomat said the meeting also tackled the possibility of cooperation in the cultural and political domains, stressing that Angola is a factor of stability in the region which, he added, makes of it an important partner within Germany's external policy.
The US ambassador accredited in Luanda, Dan Mozena, said he discussed with Paulo Kassoma issues concerning cooperation in fields other than oil and gas.
He said another topic discussed was military cooperation, with a view to a major security in the region.
The presidential election taking place in the United States of America and the legislative poll of September this year in Angola, were also reviewed at the audience.
