Uganda: Okhuti Nets Five in Bunna'ya Rout

Kampala — Caesar Okhuti yesterday boosted his pursuit of the Super League golden boot with a give-goal haul as Bunnamwaya hit Sharing 10-1 at Nakivubo Stadium.

The goals propelled him to 12 goals and cemented his growing reputation as one of the deadliest marksmen in the country.

Owen Kasule, Arthur Ssemazi, Ronald Muganga and Denis Kizito (2) completed the rout while Stephen Okumu netted Sharing's consolation.

At Namboole, Sam Ssimbwa's Simba earned a valuable away point after forcing Moses Basena's Uganda Revenue Authority to a barren draw. URA had to play with ten men for a long spell as Patrick Ochan was sent off for dangerous play.

The tense game played in front of a sparse crowd ended in verbal sparring between the two coaches.

Ssimbwa was the happier of the two coaches as the draw allowed the army side to open up a two-point advantage over champions Kampala City Council FC.

The win took Simba to 32 points from 12 games whereas URA remain five points adrift with almost a third of the season gone.

Elsewhere, Sports Club Villa made light work of Maji with a straight forward 2-0 victory to stay in touch with the league leaders.

Emmanuel Okwi and Ali Alishe found the target as the record champions took all three points despite playing with ten men after Stephen Bengo was sent off for bad conduct Boroboro delivered one of the upsets of the evening when they beat Victors 1-0 at the Lira Municipal Stadium.

The rest of the fixtures saw Nalubaale upset Police 1-0 courtesy of a strike from Nigerian import Jonathan Ayigbe whereas Kinyara overcame Youfra 2-1.
