Pioneer Food Cannery (PFC) Limited, producers of Starkist Tuna and other world wide quality Tuna products made a presentation of one hundred and fifty (150) cartons of assorted starkest tuna products, valued at twenty thousand dollars ($25,000), in support of this years annual farmers day celebration to the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Ashaiman Municipal Assembly and Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly, at a short ceremony at the factory premises, Tema.
Mr. Nicole J. Elizabeth, General Manager of the company emphasized the company's commitment to its corporate social responsibility to the community as a whole.
The donations were received on behalf of the assemblies by Hon. David Annang, Metro Chief Executive-Tema Metropolitan Assembly; Hon.A.B Okyere Municipal chief Executive- Ashaiaman Municipal Assembly and Ebenezer Adjei Osekre, Municiapal Chief executive Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal assembly.
Hon. David Q Annang, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive on behalf of the assemblies thanked Pioneer Food Cannery (PFC) for their kind gesture in keeping to their promise to share in the celebration of our farmers each year and urged them to make their presence felt in the Metropolis.
PFC has in the past years made similar presentations to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Tema Metropolitan Assembly.
