Nigeria: Enugu to Procure 200 Additional Cars for Taxi Scheme

Enugu — The Enugu State Government is set to procure more Chevrolet cars for use under her proposed taxi scheme for which 200 cabs have been approved for the take off.

Already the state government has purchased 300 Chevrolet brand of cars which have been distributed to Local Government Councilors and other officials. The cars are being paid for through monthly deductions of about N50,000 from the entitlements of the beneficiaries.

Speaking at the official commissioning of the Chevrolet Place, an ultra modern Sales office and

Mega service center built by Eurotorch Limited, Governor Sullivan Chime said the government was impressed by the presence of the company in Enugu.
