Luanda — The management board of Petro de Luanda club is already planning the next football season and is seeking local-based players to strengthen the squad, apart from foreigners.
The fact was announced at a press conference by the vice president for football, Tomás Faria, who added that the reinforcements have already been identified and priority lies on local players, whose proposals were submitted this week.
"We already have the programme of the technical team for next season and we have already submitted, with anticipation, the proposals to national clubs so as not to delay in enrolling the players at the Confederation of African Football (CAF)", he stressed.
"We are also seeking foreign based players and we are close to confirming their signings", added the source.
In order to fulfil the goals, Petro's official stressed the need to maintain the structure of the club's team that won the 2008 national first division title.
Petro de Luanda won a title after six years under the management of the Portuguese Bernardino Pedroto.
