Angola: Army Chief Briefed on Military Games

Luena — The chief of staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), general Francisco Furtado, this Thursday met, in Luena city, with officials organising the 5th military sports games happening since last October 18, in the eastern Moxico province.

The military sports games set to end this Saturday are counting on the participation of teams of the Land Forces, Air Force, Navy and the Armed Forces' General Headquarters.

After the meeting, the general visited some areas of the Olympic village accommodating over 200 athletes.

This Thursday afternoon the military official will attend a preparation test (marching of participants) that will perform at the closing ceremony of the referred games.

This edition of the military sports games includes sports such as football, futsal (indoor soccer), handball, athletics, basketball, chess, triathlon, overcoming obstacles and boxing.
