Luanda — The third CD of the Angolan musician Caló Pascoal has been in high demand amongst the works released this year by the "LS Producões" publishing house, which expects to receive, in 15-day deadline, 5,000 copies corresponding to the first re-edition of "Esperança Sagrada".
This was said Wednesday in Luanda by the director and coordinator of the publishing company, Sidney o Profeta, who called for the need to continue promoting the work in the country, until the arrival of the new copies.
"Among the works published this year by "LS Produções", the CD of Caló Pascoal is still in demand, mainly in the Malange province, where we visited three days ago, with a view to study the possibility to open sale posts", explained Sidney o Profeta.
The CD "Esperança Sagrada" was sold for the first time to the public on October 26, in Luanda, where the musician Caló Pascoal could sell out 10,500 copies of the initial printing, which proved insufficient to meet the demand of his fans.
With 16 themes, the CD produced by the Quebra Galho and Just Jay (of Cape Verde's Johnny Ramos), presents some musical differences in comparison to the two other works, mainly the inclusion of afro-jazz.
The CD also includes kizomba, semba and sungura music styles.
The work counted on the participation of singers Dabs Lopes, Johnny Ramos, Johnny Fonseca, Dina Medina and Grace Évora, all from Cape Verde.
