Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, this Friday here created, by using the competences conferred to him by the constitutional law, a dispatch that terminates the executive secretariat of PRESILD and approves, in its place, the new governance model for PRESILD.
This new model comprises the co-ordination team for the implementation of the Programme of Restructuring the System of Logistics and of Distribution of Essential Products to the Population (PRESILD) and the Commission of Follow Up, Control and Supervision of the Implementation of PRESILD.
The aforementioned co-ordination team is led by the minister of Finance and includes the head of the military house, the economic advisers of the Head of State and of the Prime Minister, as well as the Finance deputy minister.
The group is also made up representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Trade, Home Affairs, National Defence, Territory Administration, Agriculture, Fisheries, Industry and the General Headquarters of the Angolan Armed Forces and of the General Command of the National Police.
On its turn, the Commission of Follow Up, Control and Supervision of the Implementation of PRESILD is co-ordinated by the deputy minister of Finance, and power shall be granted by the co-ordination of the Co-ordination Team, needing to assume a multi-disciplinary attitude, due to the goals to be achieved by PRESILD, and should comprise staff of renowned competence.
The current dispatch revokes the entire previous legislation in contrary and has various sub-programmes of PRESILD as presuppositions that are already at an advanced stage of implementation or of management.
The communiqué adds that under this process of installing the "New Commercial Network of Proximity", "Pedagogic Shops for the Trade Sector" and the construction of "Logistic Warehouses of PRESILD", which should be part of the Integrated Network of Logistics and Distribution, among others.
