Luanda — The Angolan senior males football team of Santos FC are striving for their affirmation in the African soccer context, said the squad's head-coach Mário Calado to the press, in Luanda, after the match that qualified them for the final of the Angola League Cup.
With this victory over 1º de Maio de Benguela, in penalties by 4-2, after a 0-0 result, Santos FC qualified for the final of the second major football competition of the country and they will face Recreativo do Libolo of the coastal Kwanza Sul Province next Tuesday, in the northern Malanje Province.
The manager explained that Santos FC prepared for 1º de Maio's method of playing.
Santos FC occupied the fourth position of the last national first division football championship, and they will represent the country in the African competitions together with Petro Atlético de Luanda, 1º de Agosto and Recreativo do Libolo.
