Luanda — Merchants and buyers at Luanda's farming fair expressed last Saturday, at the Independence Square, the necessity for the event to have a major diversification and increase of the products in the exhibition.
The exhibiters and consumers told ANGOP their wish to see the Angolan Frescangol company to include in the group of goods it trades, various types of national meat, vegetable and potatoes.
The fruit seller Eugénia Miguel advocated the need for encouraging the presence at this fair of more business people of different areas the farming sector and fish sellers for more diversification.
On her turn, Catarina Garcia commended the initiative of the event because the exhibiters sold more their products than in markets.
A lieutenant of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), Fernando Francisco, said that the farming fair, which is held twice a month since 2007, it is sold natural products at reasonable prices.
To the entrepreneur Pedro Manuel Fernandes, this fair serves as an incentive to farmers and hawkers, and it gives opportunity to citizens to buy well conserved agricultural products.
On the other hand, the buyer Paulo Júnior qualified the first edition of the fair in November as having been week in terms of offer of products from the farm and sea, and he appealed to the organisation for more diffusion of the event.
Luanda's farming fair is an initiative of the provincial government, aiming at promoting national production and increasing the sales opportunities of peasants and fishermen.
