Nigeria: Cosmos Gets WHQL Certification

10 November 2008

Barely three months after its formal launch into the Nigerian market, the Cosmos brand of desktop computers from Coscharis Technologies Limited has passed the Windows Vista Logo Test conducted by the Microsoft Corporation under its Windows Hardware Quality Laboratory (WHQL) certification programme.

By passing this test, Cosmos has joined the league of computer brands that have been certified to be compatible with the Windows Vista Operating System. Cosmos is also among the few Nigerian brands that have passed the test under Windows Vista, which is the latest operating system from Microsoft. The certification qualifies the product to use the "Certified for Windows Vista" logo from Microsoft.

According to Mr Seun Olofinjana, the Cosmos plant manager, "the testing involved in the certification process guarantees a reliable and trouble free installation and usage of the Ultimate, Enterprise, Business, Home Premium and Home Basic editions of Microsoft Windows Vista."
