Angola: Brazilian Elba Ramalho Entertains Community

Luanda — Brazilian singer, Elba Ramalho, Friday evening performed at "Cineplace" cultural centre, in Luanda, having sung 25 of her major hits, during a show attended by over 300 fans.

The one-hour-and-half show of the musician, who visited the country for the first time in 1980s, coincided with the celebrations of Brazil's 5th Week programme in Angola, in which she entertained her country's community based in Angola.

Born on 17 August 1951, in Paraiba, Brazil, Elba Ramalho sang, among other songs, "O que é, o que é", "Morena de Angola", "Gostoso demais", "Viajante", "Nenem", "Homem Com H", "Gabriela", "Quinem Jiló", "Xodó", "Espumas ao Vento", "Lembranças de um beijo" and "Se a vexe não".

Businesspeople, diplomats, artists and members of the Brazilian community turned up for the show of the Brazilian singer, who is also a theatre and television actress. She is expected to perform again Saturday at the same venue.

Besides Elba Ramalho, the music band Axe Azuada which came to Angola, performed separately, in the light of Brazil's 5th Week programme, that opened Thursday in Luanda.
