Luanda — Angolan Government programme for 2009, presented Friday to the National Assembly (Parliament), sets as its main goals the promotion of national unity and cohesion, consolidation of democracy, economic stability, improved living and development of the private sector.
This was announced by the prime minister, António Paulo Kassoma, during the presentation of the Government National Plan and State Budget for 2009 to the National Assembly.
According to the premier, the economic development projects for 2009, both for the National Plan and the State Budget, focus on the global objectives of the medium term development programme for the 2009-2012 period.
He said as well that the plan also sets the consolidation of democracy and its institutions, guarantees for a high and sustained pace of economic growth, with macro-economic stability, transformation and diversification of the country's economic structures.
Angolans' human development, incentive to the private sector, promotion of the national territory harmonious growth, reinforcement of integration and competitiveness of Angola within the international context, increment of job and incomes, recovery and construction of infrastructures and state reform, are some of the goals contained in the National Plan.
To Paulo Kassoma, the macro-economic framework for 2009 is outlined in line with the expectations for the oil production and expected tendency of crude oil prices in the international market.
The macro-economic framework for 2009, according to him, sets the Gross Domestic Product at Akz 5.7 billion, with an 11 percent growth. The oil GDP set at 5,9 percent, non-oil GDP at 15,9 percent, oil production at 739,7 million barrels and annual inflation of 10 percent.
