Uganda: Beach Volleyball Gets Sh8 Million Nile Offer

Kampala — NILE Breweries has boosted the third edition of the International Beach Volleyball Championship with a sh8m sponsorship offer.

The event will be held at Lido in Entebbe next weekend.

Tournament director Mofaht Masaba said this week that sh3m of the package is earmarked for prize money while the rest will go towards other activities of the competition.

Club beer National Brands Manager Daniel Ogong announced the sponsorship and expressed hope that players will show top form.

Rwanda, holders of the men's title and Kenya have confirmed entry.

Uganda's squad will be named next week.

Players in training include the experienced Mariam Nakamanya and Jeff Lwalanda.
