Uganda: Global Trust Bank Opens to Public

Kampala — GLOBAL Trust Bank on Friday commenced operations with a bang.

The bank, which recently acquired Commercial Microfinance (CMF), is a subsidiary of the National Insurance Corparation owned by Nigerians.

It will offer all banking services, Goretti Masadde, the communications manager, disclosed over the weekend.

The bank will operate at its newly-refurbished five-storey building headquarters on Kampala Road before rolling out the CMF network.

"Global Trust Bank is here to introduce dynamism and a new touch of competition into the Ugandan banking industry," Masadde disclosed. Masadde explained that the fresh green and golden yellow brand colours would be rolled out in all the former CMF branches scattered all over the country.

"We are here to change the face of banking in Uganda," Masadde insisted.
