Kampala — KENNETH Kamyuka will today link up with the national team in South Africa ahead of the Division 3 World Cricket League.
Kamyuka will be travelling with two other seasoned players Benjamin Musoke and Akbar Baig who stayed behind because of their work schedules.
"They will be a great boost to our team. They will add experience and maturity to the team," Uganda Cricket Association administrative secretary Allan Ssematimba said.
The first batch of the team left with team manager Justin Ligyalingi on Wednesday and later started receiving drills at the Cricket High Performance training Centre located in Pretoria.
Ssematimba explained that Nehal Bibodi and Junior Kwebiha are also expected to join the team next week for the training expected to end later this month.
The team is looking forward to making an impact in the Division 3 League due in Argentina in January.
The top two teams will qualify for the World Cup qualifiers in Dubai in April.
Uganda has never competed at cricket's biggest competition whose previous edition was won by the star-studded Australia team.
