Kampala — BASEBALL development in Uganda has got further support with equipment worth sh45m from the Major League and Little League Baseball foundations in USA.
The kit was delivered to the Little League Uganda Baseball organisation by the body's US-based coordinator Richard Stanley.
Assistant commissioner for sports Omara Apitta received the equipment and expressed optimism that plans to develop the sport will be enhanced.
This is the fourth consignment from Uganda's friends in USA.
Baseball has taken root in a number of schools in Lira, Mbarara, Luwero, Mpigi, Jinja and Kampala where the equipment will go.
