Ghana: Fuel Hoarding Affects Life in Bolga

THE ANNOUNCEMENT of the 10% reduction, on petroleum products throughout the country, brought a lot of business and social activities to a standstill in Bolgatanga, when filling station operators in the Municipality, in their bid to maximise profits, decided to hoard diesel and petrol fuels.

Investigations by the Upper East File revealed that soon after the announcement came last Saturday, November 1, some filling station operators started hoarding fuel, and sold it at exorbitant prices to their counterparts who operate illegally, in what is termed as the 'black market.'
