Lagos — In its quest to make world class insurance services available to Nigerians, Industrial And General Insurance Plc (IGI) brought its customer-friendly products to the ongoing 2008 Lagos International Trade Fair.

IGI brings the biggest and the largest the products on the West African coast, as a way of creating value to its existing and prospective customers.

Among the products the company showcased were Automated and Information Technology-driven products such as IGI School Fees Insurance Scheme (SFIS), IGI Mortgage Care Policy (Morecare), IGI Estate Fire Insurance Scheme (EFIS), IGI Leasecare Policy and IGI Estate Comprehensive Insurance Scheme (ECIS).

Other products include: IGI Personal and Annuity Plus Plan (PAPP), IGI Integrated Benefits Plan (IBP), IGI Dividend Plus Plan (DPP) as well as an array of IGI Life Insurance Products.

IGI Trade Fair Coordinator, Mr. Chijioke Ezikpe, said the products displayed by the company had value added features such as "flexibility in policy management, modification of existing policies, seamless access to the various insurance products and ability to make a claim on-line.

"We have dedicated telephone lines for 24-hour customer care service as well as innovative e-payment solutions for travel health insurance", he said, adding: "These include our on-line insurance services being carried out real time, that is, just at the click of the computer mouse."

He noted that all the products were specially tailored for all existing IGI policy-holders and prospective clients.

Customers and visitors to the stand would also experience e-payment travel health insurance alongside other benefits, including business advisory on insurance cover for oil and energy, marine and aviation and life assurance, among others.

The fair opened November 7 and closes November 16. It usually records a large turnout of exhibitors and visitors daily.
