Accra Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson says the club's search for a new chief executive will be done in a transparent manner after concerns that the search party is favouring one candidate.
Nelson was part of a three-man team that interviewed the two candidates for the vacant job.
They are former AshantiGold chief executive Kudjoe Fianoo and former National Chapters Committee of Hearts of Oak chairman Neil Armstrong.
If they meet and say our recommendation is okay then we are done
Some of the club's fans claim that their former boss Armstrong is playing catch up in the race because the search party is in favour of Fianoo.
Nelson has been quick to rubbish that and insist if a choice is made from the two, it will be based purely on who impressed most during last week's interviews and their proven track record.
"I don't think anybody should have that biased mind," he said.
"The committee has done their work well and I think what we have done is a true reflection of what we saw from these two people which will be made available to the public. I don't think anyone of us will do anything negative to these two applicants."
Nelson said the two gentlemen had been composed throughout the interview but that, "this was like an exams and no matter how you write somebody must beat somebody."
But despite the fact that both candidates impressed, Nelson says there is no guarantee any of them will get the job vacated by Vincent Odotei two weeks ago.
"I am just one member of a board. But a decision will be taken by the entire board. If they meet and say our recommendation is okay then we are done. If they don't we have to go back and advertise again."
