Louis Agyemang says he can rediscover the form that made him a household name after signing a three-year contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Agyeman's decision to play for Kotoko despite the overtures of Hearts of Oak has angered some Hearts officials but the player insists he gave the Phobians ample time to have wrapped a deal.
In the end he says he opted to play for Kotoko because they showed more ambition in signing him.
Agyemang's decision to pitch camp with Kotoko will however not guarantee him regular football action at a club with its fair share of strikers.
Kwadwo Poku and Eric Bekoe scored more than 35 goals between them last season and if they remain at the club will remain key next season.
Agyemang is not moved by that however and says he will have a lot to contribute.
"I am going there with a lot of experience after my years outside," he said.
"I am a better player now so Kotoko fans will see a player in good form. My past as a Hearts player should not be an issue because by putting pen to paper on a deal I have demonstrated already that I am ready to give my all here."
Agyemang could make his Kotoko debut on Sunday when the Porcupine Warriors play AshantiGold in a special friendly game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
