Gambia: Shenkh Eternity to Explore the Country

7 November 2008

The Gambia Tourism Authority has announced the maiden visit by Shenkh Eternity; a company based in Bristol (UK) and specialises in providing services in training media, arts and travel.

According to the release, this visit is part of efforts to dispel misconceptions on Africa normally portrayed in the western media. The organization is set to fly in young people from the UK of African and Caribbean descent ranging between 50-60 cultural tourists.

The release states that the week long visit that will last from the 12th to 19th November will serve as a cultural, spiritual and social trip, as it will take the visiting party to Juffereh, the National Museum, among others.

It concludes that the United Nations World Tourism organisation rates cultural travel as the fastest growing travel market worldwide and it deemed it necessary for the above event to be a good product for public consumption.
