Asamoah Gyan claims the French top flight will see the best of him when he completes his rehabilitation from injury.
The Black Stars forward has spent more time in the treatment room than on the playing field after his 8 million euro move from Udinese to Rennes in the summer but says his fitness is all coming back together nicely.
"I think I am fully fit now so I can get back to help my club," he told Ghanasoccernet.
"The injuries are setbacks but it is good that I have come through this successfully which makes me a stronger person."
Gyan is back in training with the junior team of Rennes but he will have an uphill battle to get back into the Rennes first team when he is fully fit.
The club has climbed up to fourth on the French League table since Gyan's injury with Jimmy Briand and Mickael Pagis all in good form upfront for them.
But Gyan is confident he will get his chance and make the most of it.
"I am sure Ligue One will now get to see the best of me after I have finished training with the second team where I am regaining my match fitness."
