Luanda — Angola's Social Communication minister, Manuel António Rabelais, was on Monday here sworn in as a member of ministerial commission to monitor the Organising Commission of the African Cup of Nations (COCAN2010) in senior males football.
According to a dispatch released by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, the prime minister, António Paulo Kassoma, swore in the Media minister foreseeing a greater dynamic in the activities of marketing and advertising during the holding of the CAN 2010, in Angola.
The director general of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), Fernando Torres Vieira Dias da Cunha, was also sworn in as a member of COCAN's executive board.
The important role to be played by the television station in this event and the need to improve institutional ties were at the basis of the appointment.
The Angolan premier said he hopes that the participation of the recently sworn in members will enrich the organising commission's work quality, particularly in the fields of communication, marketing and broadcasting the championship.
Founded on 11 January, 2008, under the dispatch of the Angolan Head of State, the Organising Commission of the African Cup of Nations (COCAN2010) is being co-ordinated by the prime minister.
